Setting Up Email Integration

Email integration connects your inbox to Really Focus, allowing you to see emails in context with your tasks and schedule.

Supported Email Services

Really Focus currently supports:

  • Gmail
  • Microsoft Outlook

Connecting Your Email

To connect your email account:

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations
  2. Click Connect next to the email service you use
  3. Follow the authentication prompts to grant Really Focus access
  4. Select which mailboxes or folders you want to include

Email Privacy and Security

When connecting your email:

  • Really Focus uses OAuth for secure authentication
  • We never store your email password
  • You can revoke access at any time
  • You control which folders are accessible

Security Note

All email data is encrypted both in transit and at rest. Our systems use industry-standard security practices to protect your sensitive information.

In an upcoming update, our AI will automatically:

  • Scan your incoming emails for action items
  • Create suggested tasks based on email content
  • Detect deadlines mentioned in emails
  • Prioritize tasks based on sender and content

Troubleshooting Email Integration

If you encounter issues with your email integration:

  • Connection problems: Try disconnecting and reconnecting
  • Missing emails: Check the selected folders/labels
  • Sync delays: Most changes sync within 5-10 minutes

To get the most from email integration:

  • Use folders or labels to organize emails
  • Star/flag important emails that need action
  • Archive emails once they've been handled
  • Use the AI to summarize long threads
